Special Practice Ice This Sunday!

Good news, curlers - President Al Teasdale has arranged for practice ice this Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

This is a rare opportunity, as there’s normally no practice ice available on Sundays. Spread the word and let your league members know - a great chance to throw a few extra rocks and fine-tune your game!

Petersen 55+ Open Bonspiel Begins!

The Petersen 55+ Open Bonspiel kicked off today at the Esquimalt Curling Club and runs through Friday. On behalf of the bonspiel committee, we’re pleased to welcome all curlers and spectators back for another great week of friendly competition and camaraderie.

The event features a round robin pool format with 12 teams competing for cash prizes, following the five-rock free guard zone rule. Teams will curl twice on Wednesday and Thursday, and once on Friday morning, followed by a light lunch and prize presentations.

A special thanks goes out to our sponsors - Penni and Carl Harrison (KWJ Enterprises), Driftwood Breweries, Esquimalt Curling Club, and Investa through Cory Laprade - for their generous support.

Curlers are reminded to respect others’ health preferences and enjoy the week safely.
